WEDNESDAY MORNING KNITTING GROUP
Time: Wed. 10am -12pm 
Cost: $10
Instructor: Staff
Description: Come take a seat at the table, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and have access to a staff knitter who can give you help on your project, teach a technique or help you problem solve. Get answers to your questions, make progress on your projects and learn from each other. We've been meeting all year, and explored a number of issues and techniques, not necessarily all to do with knitting! We welcome newcomers anytime, come in and join us!
 
Saturday Morning Knitting Class
Time: Saturday, April 5, 12, 19 9-11 am 
Cost: $10/class
Instructor: Mimi Hyde
Description: Join us on these Saturday mornings for a drop in knitting class! This class can be used to learn to knit or crochet, or to expand your skills and techniques. Class size will be limited to 6 to ensure adequate attention. You will need to call ahead to reserve your spot
 
Create Your Own Hat
Time: Saturday, May 31; 9am to 4pm
Cost: $90 (includes lunch and 2 skeins Cotton Classic)
Instructor: Debby Ware
Description: Spend the day with Debby Ware, author of Too Cute! and creator of those irresistible children's kits. Debby will share her many secrets to creating one of a kind treasures. You will design and knit a one of a kind baby hat using Cotton Classic yarn while Debby guides you on how to start the hat, which shape you would like it to take, bold color choices, and the many otions for the topper! Lots of simple embellishment techniques will be taught that you will use over and over again in all your knitting projects. Baby Booties with Debby Ware
Time: Sunday, June 1, 12-4pm
Cost: $50
Instructor: Debby Ware
Description: This is a wonderful follow-up to the Create your own Hats workshop on Saturday. You will apply all of the embellishment techniques to create a pair of "one of a kind" booties.
Supplies: US 4 needles (circular or straight) and US 4 double pointed needles; tapestry needle
Pre-class Homework: Knit 3 squares in garter stitch (these will be used to make one bootie). SQUARES 1 AND 2: (same or different colors): cast on 20 stitches and work in garter stitch until square. SQUARE 3: cast on 24 stitches, work in garter stitch until square
 
Beginning Knitting
Time: Saturdays 9am-11am; May 3,10,17 and 24
Cost: $55 (includes instruction booklet)
Instructor: Mimi Hyde
Description: This class is for people ages 8 and up who want to learn to knit. The class will cover knitting, purling, ribbing, increasing, decreasing, fixing mistakes, casting on, binding off, and reading patterns. Limited to 8. Class members will receive the Susan Bates My Knitting Teacher book.
 
Socks!!
Time: Sunday, June22, 1-3pm; Sunday June 29, 1-4pm
Cost: $40+ materials
Instructor: Angela Dalton
Description: Learn to knit socks on double pointed needles or 2 circhulars. Socks make a greate gift and they make a wonderful take along project. Learn the basics of sock construction, heels, and toes.
Supplies: worsted weight yarn, 225 yards (adult socks) Set of US 4 or 5 double pointed needles or two 24" circulars
 
FELTING THE OREGON TOTE
Time: Monday; May 5, 5:30-8pm, Monday, May 19 5:30-8pm
Cost: $40 + yarn (pattern included in class price)
Instructor: Mimi Hyde
Description: Learn the magic of knit felting--you knit the bag very large and then throw it in the washing machine and voila--a felted bag. Mimi will take you through the basics of felting using the Oregon Totes pattern. You will learn to pick up and knit stitches, you will knit in the round, you will make I-cords and applied I-cords, and learn to read patterns in the process. This is a great next step to knitting scarves. Knowing how to cast on and do the knit stitch are the only pre-requisites. Come and join us!
