| WEDNESDAY MORNING KNITTING GROUP | | Time: Wed. 10am -12pm | | | Cost: $10 | | Instructor: Staff | | Description: Come take a seat at the table, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and have access to a staff knitter who can give you help on your project, teach a technique or help you problem solve. Get answers to your questions, make progress on your projects and learn from each other. We've been meeting all year, and explored a number of issues and techniques, not necessarily all to do with knitting! We welcome newcomers anytime, come in and join us! | | |

| BEG/INTERMEDIATE KNITTING | | Time: Friday 9:00am-11:00 Sept 10,17,24 & Oct 1 | | | Cost: $60 + materials | | Instructor: Mimi Hyde | | Description: This class is for people ages 8 and up who want to learn to knit as well as for those who know the basics and want to continue to develop. The class will cover knitting, purling, ribbing, increasing, decreasing, fixing mistakes, casting on, binding off and reading patterns. Cabling, beginning lace and colorwork can also be included. This class can be tailored to the participants. Limited to 6 people. | | Supplies: Please bring your own knitting needles. | | |

| INTARSIA | | Time: Thurs. Sept. 9, 5-7pm | 
| | Cost: $25 | | Instructor: Bobbi Dunn | | Description: Learn the skill of intarsia or picture knitting. With intarsia, you knit blocks of isolated color or even paint a whole landscape of design or pictures on to your fabric, with many colors in each row. Each block of color is a separate entity, and your yarn is not stranded across the full row as in Fairisle. | | Supplies: Approximately 50 yards of a light worsted weight wool such as Cascade 220, Ella Rae worsted, or Galway worsted. Bobbins—at least two—wrapped with contrasting colors of yarn of the same weight. Circular rubber stitch markers. Both bobbins and stitch markers are available at the Needle Lady. Scissors. | | Pre-class Homework: Cast on 40 stitches and work 4 rows of stockinette stitch ending on a wrong side row (ready to knit a right side row). | | |

| TOP DOWN RAGLAN | | Time: Sunday, Sept. 19, 1-4pm, Oct 3, 1-3pm, | 
| | Cost: $60+materials | | Instructor: Mimi Hyde | | Description: Are you ready to move from scarves to sweaters? Do you want to knit a sweater that really fits? Learn this wonderful technique of knitting a sweater in one piece from the top down. Make a pullover or a cardigan. You can choose whatever yarn you want, we write the pattern (fill in the blanks) based on your gauge swatch and your measurements. The sweater is done in the round so there is no sewing. | | Supplies: Yarn for sweater

| | Cost: $25 | | Instructor: Bobbi Dunn | | Description: Twist and shout with Bobbi! Learn to add design through the texture of cables in your knitting. You will learn how to do these twists and turns--simple at first, but which can be more complex as well as fun.
